A Blessed People
Bible Text: Matthew 5:1-12 | Preacher: Adam Houser | Jesus begins his Sermon on the Mount with the Beatitudes. Like Moses bringing down the law from Mount Sinai, the Beatitudes are a vision for God’s wholeness rooted in God’s liberation of the oppressed. Followers of the way of Jesus are given a new, blessed identity that is contrary to the satisfactions of the world.
